The all-new 2027 Audi Q7 is at U.S. dealers. The Q9 is the full-size three-row. This is the midsize German money: a new Q7 against the 2026 BMW X5 and 2026 Mercedes-Benz GLE you can still build and buy this week.
Money on the window
Audi of America’s summer 2026 pricing note put the 2027 Q7 quattro at $70,900, excluding destination. That figure is not on the current Q7 overview, which does list the SQ7 at $98,700. The Q7 is a 429-hp V6 with quattro as standard. There is no four-cylinder door on this generation.
BMW USA’s 2026 X5 overview no longer posts a starting MSRP. The X5 you can configure today is the 2027 40 xDrive at $72,100 plus $1,450 destination — 394 hp, on sale October 2026.
Mercedes-Benz USA’s 2026 GLE 350 4MATIC opens the group at $64,750. The GLE 450 is $72,250. The GLE 580 is $90,000.
Against that shoppable BMW, the Q7’s summer sticker is $1,200 under the 2027 X5 40 xDrive before destination, and $1,350 under the GLE 450. The cheap seat is the GLE 350. It is also a 255-hp four.
The 2027 SQ7 is $98,700 on Audi USA’s Q7 page. The 2026 GLE 580 undercuts that V8 by $8,700. That is the halo ladder, not the family one.
Seats and space
Seven seats are standard on the Q7. A six-seat second-row is the option. The 2026 X5 is five seats, with no third-row box to tick. Mercedes lists the GLE as five seats, seven optional, on the 350, 450, and 580.
If a third row has to show up without an options code, the Q7 is the one that ships that way. The GLE can do seven if you pay for it. The X5 cannot.
Audi quotes 78.1 cubic feet in the seven-seater with the rows folded, and 7,700 lb of towing with the available hitch. Mercedes lists 33.3–74.9 cubic feet and the same 7,700 lb rating on those GLEs. The 2026 X5 is 194.2 inches long on a 117.1-inch wheelbase; the GLE is 194.3 inches on a 117.9-inch wheelbase. Audi has not posted U.S. overall length or wheelbase for the 2027 Q7 on the pages cited below, so those numbers stay off this card.
Power and pace
The 2027 Q7’s turbo 2.9-liter V6 is 429 hp and 442 lb-ft. Audi’s 0–60 claim is 4.8 seconds. The 2026 X5 40i is 375 hp; BMW lists 5.3 seconds for the sDrive and 5.2 for the xDrive. The 50e’s combined 483 hp is the quicker BMW here, at 4.6 seconds.
The 2026 GLE 350’s 255 hp and 7.0-second run is the hole in the sheet. The GLE 450 matches the X5 40i at 375 hp and 5.3 seconds. The GLE 580’s 510-hp V8 is 4.3 seconds.
The SQ7 is the ceiling in this set: 591 hp, 590 lb-ft, 3.7 seconds. It is also the V8 that still seats six or seven from the factory.
What you can’t put in the table yet
The 2027 GLE has official horsepower and 0–60 claims. Mercedes-Benz USA has not posted a U.S. MSRP for it. Until that sticker exists, the GLE you can price is the 2026.
