Audi Q3 Steering Recall: 2019–2021 Models in 208k VW Group Fix

If you own a 2019–2021 Audi Q3, check your VIN. NHTSA says a steering-rack mounting bolt can corrode and break. If it fails, you can lose steering control. That is a real safety recall — not a “bring it in someday” tip.

The right-side steering rack mounting bolt may corrode and break. If it breaks, steering control can fail. That can raise crash risk. Dealers will replace that bolt at no charge.

This campaign includes certain 2019–2021 Audi Q3 models. The same VW Group filing also covers some Volkswagen Tiguan and Atlas years — but if you drive a Q3, start with your VIN, not the VW list.

About 208,700+ U.S. vehicles sit in the group recall. Your car is either in or it is not. The VIN check settles it.

Dealers replace the right-side steering rack mounting bolt. Free. Owner notification letters are expected around 10 November. Do not wait on the mailbox if you want peace of mind — call Audi service and ask them to check your VIN now.
