Audi e-tron GT vs Porsche Taycan

Two 800-volt German four-doors. Same platform family story. Different badges. For this sticker fight: 2026 Audi S e-tron GT from $127,700 versus Porsche Taycan 4S with Performance Battery Plus from about $131,800 on Porsche USA — the closest U.S. price peers in the current stacks. Not the RS. Not Turbo GT.

Money on the window

Audi USA lists the 2026 S e-tron GT from $127,700.

Porsche USA lists the Taycan 4S from $131,800. Porsche Newsroom’s MY26 U.S. tech sheet puts the Taycan 4S with Performance Battery Plus at $131,780.

Roughly four grand on the window before destination, taxes, and options. Audi undercuts. Neither number is “as driven.”

Power and pace

The Audi S e-tron GT: 670 hp with launch control, 0–60 in 3.3 seconds with launch control. Battery on the Audi USA card: 105 kWh. EPA range: 300 miles on 20-inch wheels. Adaptable quattro with e-torque vectoring plus, 2-speed rear, DC peak up to 320 kW (about 10–80% in around 18 minutes in ideal conditions). Audi USA’s overview does not publish a clean U.S. torque or curb-weight figure here — those cells stay off the sheet.

Porsche Taycan 4S with Performance Battery Plus (MY26 Newsroom tech sheet): 509 hp / 590 hp with launch control, 490 / 523 lb-ft (max / with launch control), 0–60 in 3.5 seconds with launch control. Curb weight 4,976 lbs. Battery 105.0 / 97.0 kWh gross/net. EPA range 295 miles. Dual-motor AWD, single-speed front / two-speed dog-ring rear. Porsche USA’s Taycan 4S page matches the 3.5-second claim and the same overboost launch-control power family.

OEM launch hp and 0–60: Audi leads this pairing. Porsche answers with published torque, curb weight, and that Taycan steering brief.

Character — and the honest downsides

S e-tron GT: Audi GT comfort, quattro confidence, stronger launch-control hp and the quicker published sprint here. Honest downside — no torque or curb weight on the cited Audi USA overview, and the cabin still reads grand tourer more than track toy.

Taycan 4S: Porsche feel, dual-motor AWD, and the 4S rung that sits in the Taycan sweet spot. Honest downside — a few thousand more for less advertised launch-control horsepower and a slower OEM 0–60 than the Audi in this exact trim fight.

Who should buy which

Take the Audi S e-tron GT if the lower sticker, 670 hp launch-control claim, and 3.3-second OEM sprint win — plus Audi’s GT comfort brief and 300 miles EPA on 20s.

Take the Porsche Taycan 4S if the Porsche driving signature, published torque/weight numbers, and Taycan 4S hierarchy matter more than beating the Audi on sticker or peak launch hp.
