Audi will give the A2 e-tron its world premiere on September 7, 2026. A week out, the company has put a number on the returning nameplate: the 140 kW model with the optional efficiency package is rated at a preliminary 12.8 kWh/100 km on the WLTP cycle, which Audi says is the lowest consumption of any car it has built.
That figure is helped by a 0.24 drag coefficient, the best Audi lists in its compact lineup, and aero measures that cut up to 0.9 kWh/100 km.
The pack is a 61 kWh LFP cell-to-pack battery that Audi says can be charged to 100% in daily use, with 89.6% wallbox charging efficiency. Bidirectional charging covers Vehicle-to-Load and Vehicle-to-Home (V2H first in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland).
Orders open at the debut. First customer deliveries are still scheduled later in 2026. The compact EV is built in Ingolstadt. CEO Gernot Döllner tied it to the original A2, whose three-liter version made efficiency “its hallmark.”
